The 36-hour ticket for the way to the stadium

Anyone who has a ticket for a European Championship match at the venues of Cologne, Düsseldorf, Dortmund and Gelsenkirchen is also entitled to the 36-hour ticket for bus and train at no additional cost.

The 36-hour ticket is only available via the Fan Pass in the EURO 2024 app: The 36-hour ticket is valid on the day of the match from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. the following day.

The 36-hour ticket is your ticket for public transport to get to the venues comfortably by public transport.

The 36-hour ticket is available to all persons with a ticket for the UEFA EURO 2024 matches.

The ticket is valid from 06:00 on the day of the match until 18:00 on the following day. The ticket will only be displayed in the UEFA EURO 2024 app once the 36-hour period begins.

Persons with a ticket for the matches in Cologne, Gelsenkirchen, Dortmund and Düsseldorf can travel to the venue in the VRS and VRR area.

Within the VRS and VRR network areas, you can use all local transport vehicles, i.e. buses, trams, city trains and underground trains as well as S-Bahn, regional trains and 2nd class regional expresses. The SB 60 airport express bus can also be used at no additional cost.

The ticket is not valid on long-distance transport (e.g. ICE, IC, EC, Eurostar, etc.

The ticket is integrated into the so-called Fan Pass, which is available in the UEFA EURO 2024 app. To receive the Fan Pass, fans must download the official tournament app.

The 36-hour ticket is only displayed at the beginning of the 36-hour validity and disappears after expiration.

The ticket will only be displayed in the Fan Pass of the official UEFA EURO 2024 app.

The Fan Pass shows the number of valid tickets. The use of the 36-hour ticket corresponds to the number of tickets.

You are always allowed to drive in the respective network area of the venue. An exception is NRW, where the VRS and the VRR may be used at the same time. So if you attend a game in Cologne one day and a game in Gelsenkirchen the next, you are allowed to drive in both network areas. The Fan Pass will show a 36-hour ticket for both matchdays – there may be overlaps between the periods.

The Fan Pass can also be accessed without the Internet, as long as it has been fully loaded at least once in advance. So it's best to make sure you download the Fan Pass well in advance of the game.

No, the 36-hour ticket only entitles you to use 2nd class. For the use of 1st class, a 1st class surcharge must be paid per journey and person and validated at the start of the journey. You can buy the 1st class surcharge conveniently in the VRS app, for example.

No, the 36-hour ticket is only valid for ticket holders.

No, the 36-hour ticket is personalised in the Fan Pass and cannot be transferred. If you pass on your ticket and repersonalize it, the 36-hour ticket will also be automatically passed on.
